S chool is an emotionally charged space. Teachers and students experience as part of their daily routine the whole range
of emotions: joy, enthusiasm, boredom, envy, hatred, love, affection, frustration, anger, rage, insult and more ...
Most often, in school there is no legitimacy for the expression of emotions and they take place below the surface. Most of the effort and resources are invested in academic achievement and models and less in the learning space itself. The project deals with the architectural environment as a medium that affects the mood and well-being of the human psyche. Studies have shown that there is a fit between the characteristics of the architectural-design environment and certain processes in human brain similar to the processes created by states of stress, excitement and memory.
By examining the levels of hormones and chemicals they have been able to reach conclusions about what is beneficial to a person's well-being and what emotions should be promoted and developed. Feelings of power, belonging, freedom, love, privacy and fun create a positive emotional climate that can lead to personal, social and academic prosperity.
